Cruz de Cempasúchil 🧡 | Handmade Mexican Día de Muertos Wall Decor
Handcrafted in Metepec, Estado de México, Mexico, our Cruz de Cempasúchil is a richly detailed clay wall cross inspired by Día de Muertos, remembrance, and the beauty of Mexican folk art.
This sculptural piece is covered in individually hand-formed cempasúchil flowers, butterflies, calla lilies, roses, leaves, and floral details, creating a layered composition full of movement and color. Warm marigold orange, deep burgundy, soft green, cream, lavender, and earthy tones come together to create a piece that feels both celebratory and deeply rooted in tradition.
The butterflies add a sense of transformation and remembrance, while the cempasúchil-inspired florals make this cross especially meaningful for Día de Muertos displays, altars, and seasonal decorating.
Each piece is shaped, painted, and assembled by hand, making every Cruz de Cempasúchil slightly unique.
